A New Way to Stay at Greenway Lane

Luxury glamping is coming to our little corner of Mayo

Something rather special is taking shape here at Greenway Lane.

What began as an art studio on our family farm, and later grew to include our little café, workshops and creative experiences, is about to begin another chapter.

We’re introducing luxury glamping at Greenway Lane.

And, as with everything we’ve created here, we wanted it to feel connected to the place.

Our pods aren’t simply somewhere to sleep. We want them to be somewhere you can slow down, switch off and experience this beautiful part of Mayo for yourself.

Meet Wild Iris & Forget Me Not

Even the names of our first pods have come from the landscape around us.

Wild Iris and Forget Me Not take their names from flowers that grow here, a small connection between the accommodation and the land it sits upon.

Inside, the feeling will be very different from traditional camping.

Think beautiful bed linen, carefully chosen furnishings, a comfortable double bed, sofa bed, your own private facilities and all the little touches that make arriving somewhere feel like a genuine treat.

Outside, however, is where Greenway Lane really takes over.

The mountains rise behind us, the coast lies nearby and the Great Western Greenway is on our doorstep. In the evening, you can return to your pod, sit outside, light the fire pit and watch the day disappear.

No rushing.

No traffic.

Just a little bit of peace in the west of Ireland.

Stay somewhere a little different

One of the things we’re most excited about is that a stay here isn’t limited to the pod itself.

You’ll be staying beside a working artist’s studio and our Greenway Lane café, on the farm where our family has lived and worked.

There might be a workshop taking place in the studio, something homemade coming out of the oven, or Billy, Bertie and Bruce — our resident alpacas — wondering who has arrived!

You can spend your day cycling or walking the Greenway, exploring Newport, Westport, Achill and the surrounding Mayo countryside, or simply decide that you’re quite happy doing very little at all.

And we think there’s a lot to be said for that.

Eat. Create. Stay.

Food and creativity have always been at the heart of Greenway Lane, so naturally they’re becoming part of our glamping experience too.

Guests will be able to add some very Greenway Lane extras to their stay — from a Fire Pit S’mores Experience with our Fluffy Bunny Hot Chocolate, to a freshly prepared Luxury Picnic Pack filled with cheeses, charcuterie, homemade breads, dips and something sweet from our kitchen.

For celebrations, we’re also creating our Celebration Picnic, designed for anniversaries, birthdays, romantic escapes, honeymoons or simply because sometimes getting away together is reason enough to celebrate.

And then, of course, there’s the art.

As our glamping offering develops, we hope guests will be able to combine staying here with our workshops and creative experiences — making Greenway Lane somewhere you can genuinely eat, create and stay.

A place we’ve imagined for a long time

This next step means a great deal to us.

Greenway Lane has grown gradually, one idea at a time, and always with the same intention: to create somewhere welcoming, creative and a little unexpected in this beautiful rural part of Mayo.

The pods feel like a natural extension of that.

A place for cyclists to rest.

A base for exploring Mayo.

A quiet weekend away.

A creative retreat.

A celebration.

Or simply two days when you give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing.

Wild Iris and Forget Me Not will begin welcoming guests in 2027, and we’re incredibly excited to finally be able to share them with you.

We hope that when you arrive, you’ll feel less like you’ve booked accommodation…

…and more like you’ve discovered your own little corner of Mayo for a while.

Eat. Create. Stay.
