Founded by Michael and Maureen O’Neill, Greenway Lane Art Studio Café was born from a shared love of art, community, and a slower pace of life. What began as a creative dream in a converted 1960s cottage has become a vibrant hub for locals, visitors, and anyone curious to try something new.
Just steps from the Great Western Greenway in Newport, our space brings together hands-on creativity and homemade food in a beautiful rural setting. It’s a place to connect — with others, with your own creativity, and with the moment.
To offer a space where everyone feels welcome to slow down, be inspired, and explore creativity in a calm and supportive environment. We believe in the power of art to bring people together — and that a great cup of coffee always helps.
What was once an old cottage is now a bright, open-plan studio café filled with colour, character, and conversation. Inside, you’ll find:
Maureen O’Neill is the creative force behind the studio — a passionate artist, workshop leader, and the person most likely to welcome you at the door with a smile. Her love of colour, texture and expression runs through everything we do, from our class designs to the way we plate up cake.
“I believe creativity belongs to everyone. My goal is to create a space where people feel supported to try, to play, and to make something that brings them joy — even if they haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years.”
Join one of our fun, hands-on workshops — no experience needed. Whether you’re flying solo or coming with a group, there’s a seat waiting for you at the table.
