Tuesday Evening Painting Classes

Learn to draw and paint at the Greenway Lane studio – a fun, creative and ideal way to get to grips with basic techniques and create beautiful images.

We believe everyone can draw. Whether you are just starting off, returning to art after years without practice, or already have some knowledge of technique, our tutor will help you develop your skills and potential. All art supplies are provided by GLAS(Greenway Lane art studio).

What to Expect

Students are taught the fundamental techniques of drawing and painting such as line, shading, colour mixing, composition and scale. They will achieve an understanding of form by first learning to draw different geometrical shapes and objects. They will then turn to painting and will be taught colour mixing techniques, colour values, and painting application techniques. Students will be introduced to the following media in our beginner’s courses: graphite, charcoal, chalk pastel, oil pastel, oil paint, watercolour, and acrylic paint.

What our Visitors say

Everything here was exceptional, the setting, artwork and food. We got the bacon sourdough sandwich, French toast and goats cheese sandwich which all came with a lovely salad. The owners are so friendly and the setting is filled with gorgeous flowers – and 3 cute alpacas, Bertie Bruno and Billy.

Had gone for lunch and had a wonderful time!Lots of space for the three of us and a dog to sit and enjoy our coffees, lovely salads, well balanced charcuterie boards and cakes! Very cozy location with a great view definitely worth the stop in!!

Amazing Buddha Bowl, baked treats, and warm drinks in a cozy cafe, between sheep fields, along the greenway. Perfect rest stop for bikers.

We rode our bikes 32 kilometers on the Greenway from Achill and wanted something light and healthy to eat for lunch before our return trip. This delightful little cafe was perfect! We had two sandwiches (a mushroom goat cheese and a bacon on sourdough), two coffees, and a dessert totaling €40. Service was friendly and warm. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

On our way back from Achill Island, we were feeling the post-holiday blues, but this little escape off the main road raised our spirits. There’s a lovely selection of organic homemade baked goods and lunch options, though we only had a coffee which was lovely, while siting in the sunshine we were warmly greeted by a curious alpaca. Nestled in the Irish countryside, this is a true hidden gem.
